Because there is more to explore than the sun and the sea. Introducing our newest experience and signature tour that captures the true essence of Podstrana and its most prominent feature Perun Hill – the “Podstrana Panoramic Tour with Quads & Buggies”!

This one-of-a-kind tour allows you to explore Podstrana’s scenic landscape with remarkable views from Perun Hill, certainly Podstrana’s best asset. The adventure begins at our office, followed by the four-wheel cruise up Perun Hill. We’ll stop at a small, well-preserved forest to test your archery skills and rehydrate before driving through upper Podstrana’s tiny settlements, charming rustic villas, stone cottages, and breathtaking old churches. Once you hit the top of Perun Hill, you’ll be greeted with views of the Hvar archipelago, the islands of Brač, Šolta, and Vis, the Čiovo peninsula, and the towns of Split, Stobreč, and Trogir. Because this panoramic adventure will work up an appetite, the tour continues with tasting the local flavors of Podstrana at a traditional tavern where you’ll enjoy authentic specialties and refreshing beverages.

Our signature tour is available in the morning or afternoon, with either time slot offering the same remarkable panoramic views.

Meeting point

The starting point of the tour is at our office! Avere Tourism is located at Jurasova 2, Podstrana 21312. You must arrive 30 minutes before the tour. You will first receive a brief introduction to the tour along with an explanation of the rules. You will then be shown how to operate the quad or buggy and take a short test drive to determine your confidence.

First leg of the journey

The first leg of the journey is the slow drive up to Perun Hill, stopping at a secluded forest to explore and rehydrate. You’ll also have the opportunity to test your archery skills!

The drive

Continuing across Perun, you will drive through upper Podstrana and witness tiny settlements, charming rustic villas, stone cottages, and breathtaking old churches.

The view

Once you make it to the top of Perun Hill, you are greeted with views of the Hvar archipelago, the islands of Brač, Šolta, and Vis, the Čiovo peninsula, and the towns of Split, Stobreč, and Trogir

Taste local flavors

By this stage of the adventure, you’ll have worked up an appetite. The tour then continues with tasting the local flavors of Podstrana. Enjoy authentic specialties with a refreshing beverage and an unbeatable view, of course!

You have to be 18 years of age.

Do you need a drivers licence?

Yes, it is compulsory that you hold a valid drivers licence (category B).

Can I drive a quad or buggy with a learners permit or a provisional licence?

No, the Croatian law does not allow it.

What if I don’t have my licence with me?

Unfortunately you will not be allowed to drive a quad or buggy however you can be a passenger (the Croatian law requires that you hold and have your licence physically with you).

Can two people sit on a quad?

Yes, the is compulsory and required by law.
